PROLiNK® MH8241 Multi-Homing Load Balance Broadband Router is a cost-efficient Internet Gateway, with four built-in WAN ports that provides both Inbound and Outbound Load Balance features.
With MIPS-based CPU, MH8241 can handle around 80 ~ 100 computers and can provide stable and versatile connecting quality as well. With the combination of multiple WAN and load balance features, MH8241 can enlarge the useful bandwidth for cyber cafe, medium office, or Internet online game room in a cost-effective manner. With load balance functions, there is no more worry for the Internet connection needed.
Multiple WAN Connections
Up to 4 WAN connections are supported with MH8241. As a result, the network constructer can easily combine many ADSL or cable connections to increase the total bandwidth.
Embedded with protected mechanisms to secure internal client, including Local IP Filtering, Intrusion Security, DoS and URL Filtering.
Outbound Load Balance
The Outbound Load Balance function can increase the useful bandwidth and prevent network bottleneck. With various types of the balance mode (Session, Weighted Round Robin and Dynamic Traffic) to choose from, the user can enlarge the useful bandwidth quite easily without expensive charge.
Inbound Load Balance
Inbound Load Balance feature not only redistributes the incoming packets evenly to LAN server but also provides the fail-over function to guarantee the connection working smoothly. With different types of the balance mode (Session and Weighted Round Robin) to choose from, the user can select the most suitable one for current environment.
Ultra Smart Sharing
Ultra Smart Sharing function can prevent disconnection from a banking system or an Internet online game server — due to one single user attempting to access those systems with dual IP addresses.
MH8241 provides Gateway, Router and Basic NAT modes — these flexible characters enable wide usage for network deployment.
Traffic Prioritization and Bandwidth Management. MH8241 can manage the bandwidth by services and IP addresses — to guarantee the access bandwidth and keep the service server working properly.
