PHS100 3.5G HSDPA Modem Windows 7 Release Candidate (RC) Installation Guide.
For the pre-release version of Windows 7 (RC), please find the installation guide for Prolink PHS100 3.5G HSDPA Modem.
  1. Plug in the PHS100 modem to your PC USB port and install the modem driver via QsSetup.exe.
    If the installation is successful, you will see "PROLiNK PHS100 USB HSDPA Modem" under Modems in the Device Manager.
    If you try to connect in the PC Manager, you will get the error message "Failed to connect Internet!"
    This is normal as the PC Manager utility has still not been finalize to work in Windows 7. In this case, please do not use the PC Manager to do the connection. Please follow the following steps to manually create a dial-up connection in Windows 7.
  2. Open Network & Sharing Center > Set up a new connection or network > Set up a dial-up connection > Next
  3. Type in your ISP Dial-up phone number: e.g. *98# > Username and Password: Leave blank > Give a connection name to it e.g. PHS100 Dial-up Connection > Connect
    If you do not know your ISP Dial-up phone number, please follow Step 4 to find out.
  4. In the PC Manager > Click "More Profiles" > Highlight your ISP profile > View/Modify > Next > Advanced Settings > You will see your ISP dial-up number under Phone Number
  5. To disconnect the connection, click on the network icon shown on the system tray. You will see the your connection name and the "Disconnect" button.
  6. To connect back the connection, click back on the same network icon. Click on your connection name and you will see a "Connect" button
Please let us know if you find any bugs in regards to our PHS100 in Windows 7.

Please be sure we will resolve the PC Manager utility compatibility issues before the official release of Windows 7
